Hosted
All core systematic components of the solution, including the softswitch, voicemail, conference servers and dial-tone are located at a central POP, (Point of Presence) rather than on the customers' site itself. This solution is usually a lower cost one to implement, but potentially will have a higher monthly cost over other VOIP solutions. Due to the scope of a hosted platform, features and customization can be limited in some areas. Hosted platforms do tend to scale very easily though, because there is little capital outlay for system components and bandwidth in order for it to grow with your company.
Premise
All core systematic components of this solution, including the softswitch, voicemail, conference servers and dial-tone are located in facilities controlled and managed by the customer. This will be more expensive to start with, but usually less expensive over time than a hosted solution. The customer has much more granular control over systematic components and can better customize the system according to their unique requirements.
Hybrid
Core components of the system are distributed between a Service Provider and facilities controlled and managed by the customer. This model fits best for small businesses that need a balance between features, reliability and cost.
Fluid's VOIP Product Mix
